2008 IEEE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON
COMPUTER-AIDED CONTROL SYSTEM DESIGN (CACSD 2008)

The 9th IEEE International Symposium on Computer-Aided Control System Design (CACSD), together with the 23rd IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Control (ISIC) and the 17th IEEE International Conference on Control Applications (CCA), will take place jointly within the 2nd IEEE Multi-conference on Systems and Control, at the Hilton Palacio del Rio Hotel in San Antonio, Texas (USA) from 3 to 5 September 2008.

The 9th IEEE International Symposium on Computer-Aided Control System Design  aims to be the foremost occasion for discussion about new developments of algorithms, software tools and interfaces to be used as enabling technologies in control engineering.

The conference welcomes paper submissions from researchers, practitioners and students, and will cover basically all topics in control techniques and applications, including, but not limited to the following:

CACSD applications and case studies

CACSD environments for systems analysis and design including toolboxes

Computer-aided modeling and simulation

Computer-aided model calibration  and system identification

Computer-aided design and tuning of control systems

Computer-based teaching and learning environments

Embedded and networked systems design and implementation

Numerical methods for system analysis and design

Optimization-based control systems analysis and design

Rapid prototyping, real-time aspects and target specific code generation

Soft-computing algorithms

Symbolic methods for systems and control

Tools for industrial controller design, monitoring and tuning

Tools for multi-disciplinary test and integration
