CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS

 

Proposals are solicited for full-day and half-day workshops to be held with the IEEE Multi-conference on Systems and Control 2008, which consists of three joint conferences, the 17th IEEE International Conference on Control Applications (CCA), the 23rd IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Control (ISIC) and 9th IEEE International Symposium on Computer-Aided Control System Design (CACSD) that will be held 3-5 September, 2008 in San Antonio, Texas (USA). Workshops that would be attractive for practicing control engineers are of particular interest, such as: modern methods of control system design; computational intelligence and intelligent control systems design; unmanned systems; aerospace applications; automotive systems. Also new and emerging control applications and methods tutorials are welcome, such as: control of biological and biomedical systems; MEMS and nanotechnology based systems for measurement and control; renewable energy applications, networked control systems, etc...

Proposals for workshops should be uploaded as a single .pdf file through http://css.paperplaza.net/. If there is a problem with the upload, please send the proposal directly to the Workshop Chair. The workshop proposal should include the following information::

  1. Title for the proposed workshop;

  2. Workshop length (half-day or full-day);

  3. List of presenters;

  4. Brief (one sentence) statement of the workshop goal;

  5. Brief (one paragraph) synopsis of the workshop content; and

  6. Outline of major topics.

All workshops will be offered on September 2, 2008.
